PURAPRESS® (series 8000) | Silicon Bronze CuSi

Lead Free Silicon Bronze for Copper and Stanless Steel

System description

PURAPRESS® are unique modern premium transition press fittings for copper and stainless steel pipes made from completely lead-free silicon bronze CuSi. They are tested and approved for reliable connections with copper pipes according to EN 1057 and NiroSan® stainless steel system tubes and certified by all relevant national and international certification bodies.

Press fittings of the PURAPRESS® series are, just like our threaded and transition fittings of the series PURAFIT®, manufactured from the completely lead-free premium material silicon bronze CuSi and therefore an excellent solution for non-lead contaminated drinking water installations. In this way, installers can always be certain that their installation does not contain lead and that they will not be subject to any legal claims should the strict lead tolerances in drinking water installations ever be exceeded. By providing this lead-free alternative to conventional materials, SANHA® also satisfies the market demand for safe and healthy drinking water installations.

In combination with our tried and trusted NiroSan® stainless steel system pipes, PURAPRESS® premium fittings combine the well-known positive properties of corrosion resistant copper and stainless steel in terms of hygiene, corrosion resistance, long service life and sustainability while at the same time offering a extremely attractive economical solution.

Features

combipress® =

  • tool compatibility: pressable with press jaws and slings with original SA, V and M contour up to and including 54 mm
  • Leak path feature (certified forced leakage before pressing with EPDM and HNBR sealing rings) in combination with
  • Push & Stay function for safe, reliable installation in every position

Lead-free silicon bronze CuSi

The use of this exceptional, specially adapted material completely avoids any lead contamination of drinking water through the installation itself. Installers can therefore be certain when it comes to the strict regulations of the Drinking Water Directive regarding lead.

Fast installation, no risk of fire

The connection with stainless steel pipes by cold pressing enables a fast, time-saving installation and eliminates the risk of fire during the process. PURAPRESS® installation systems are therefore ideally suited for renovation work.

Hygienic premium solution, high corrosion resistance

Our premium material silicon bronze CuSi is exceptionally resistant against dezincification and free of tension-crack corrosion – equivalent to red brass. The smooth, passivated surface and dezincification resistance make PURAPRESS® an excellent solution in terms of hygiene since bio-films and particles are considerably less likely to adhere to the inner surface.
