SANHA®-Therm S.24000 Carbon steel pipes & press fittings

SANHA® Combipress® Function

System description

The SANHA®-Therm pipe system consists of tried and tested SANHA®-Therm press fittings with a black moulded seal made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene rubber) and SANHA®-Therm C-steel pipes to BS EN 10305-3 and is particularly suitable for closed circuits such as heating and cooling. The pipes and press fittings are galvanised on the outside or, in the IAF version, hot-dip galvanised on the inside and outside.

Economical solution, easy installation

The carefully manufactured piping system and its components offer a very economical solution for all closed heating and cooling circuits. Thanks to the combipress® function, which is unique in the industry (see below – Advantages), installation in heating and cooling circuits is particularly easy and can be implemented quickly, as with all our metallic systems.

At the same time, SANHA®-Therm is extremely well suited for compressed air and fire extinguishing systems in accordance with BS EN 10346 (DZ design). In addition, hot-dip galvanised system pipes are available, which are characterised above all by their very good flexibility.

Carbon steel pipes and fittings are subject to special conditions with regard to corrosion and can therefore only be used in compliance with the corresponding generally applicable corrosion protection regulations.

Marking of the press fittings

SANHA®-Therm press fittings are marked on the outside with a red dot. The associated pipes are easily recognisable by a longitudinal red marking (line and lettering “SANHA®-Therm”) and can thus be easily distinguished from pipes made of other steel grades on the construction site.

The SANHA®-Therm series is also available in a special LABS* and silicone-free version with a red FKM sealing ring and in separate protective packaging (Series 27000).

Operating conditions for SANHA®-Therm fittings & pipes

Water, aequous solutions, technical gases (non-toxic, inflammable), up to 108 mm
Operating pressure16 bar
Operating temperature with EPDM sealing ring-30 °C – +120 °C
Type of thread: R/Rp thread according to EN 10226,
fastening thread: G thread according to ISO 228

Your advantages combipress® =

  • Tool compatibility*: SANHA®-Therm fittings can be pressed with SA, V and M original contour press jaws or slings up to and including 54 mm and with SA and M original contour up to 108 mm. This eliminates any risk of confusion of tools on the construction site!
  • Leak path feature (certified forced leakage before pressing with EPDM and HNBR sealing rings) in combination with
  • Push & Stay: the fitting sticks onto the pipe for an easy & convenient installation in any position

High flexibility

  • All dimensions 12 to 108 mm incl. 67 mm
  • Secure, non-detachable, permanently sealed connection with carbon steel pipes according to BS EN 10305-3 or BS EN 10346 (DZ version)
  • Transition thread according to BS EN 10226 or ISO7/1 type R and Rp
  • Wide range of possible combinations:
    • SANHA®-Therm installation pipes, galvanised on the outside:
Longitudinally welded, pressure-tight, thin-walled precision steel pipes, galvanised on the outside. Ideal for heating applications due to non-galvanised inner surface (no risk of pump contamination)
unalloyed steel E195 (RST 34-2) with material no. 1.0034 according to BS EN 10305-3
      Delivery condition +CR1
    • SANHA®-Therm installation pipes in DZ design, galvanised inside and out: Longitudinally welded, thin-walled precision steel pipes made of unalloyed steel. The pipes are made of continuously strip galvanised steel (Sendzimir process) according to BS EN 10346. This leads to higher corrosion protection due to sendzimir galvanising on both sides and thus ideally suited for use in fire extinguishing and sprinkler systems. After galvanising, the strip material is an E 195 (Z275 MBO) with material no. 1.0034 according to BS EN 10305-3. Delivery condition +CR2. Available in dimensions 22 to 108 mm (sprinkler portfolio)

Areas of application

  • Compressed air (dry, residual oil content max. 25 mg/m3 )
  • Sprinkler system (VdS CEA 4001, wet – DZ system pipe)
  • Heating / Cooling (no DZ pipes)
  • Shipbuilding
